onceuponadrawing: Disney Rejection Letter, 1938  I’ve never seen one of these in print before! I’d always heard rumors that women only ever got to be part of ink and paint, but there’s a difference between awkward references to animation history and actually seeing it written out quite so plainly.  Filing this one under “why using a time machine to go back to the wonderful perfect era of the Disney Golden Age where animators were free to frolic about the great meadows of Burbank expressing themselves freely with their hair blowing in the wind … is actually a terrible idea”
