This commission, by the way, is my lame excuse for why I haven’t been posting much new art this week D: It’s a big project, but I’m enjoying it since I get a lot of freedom to experiment with a searle-esque style, which has always been really difficult for me!
Normally I don’t allow myself to work quite as messy as this (I get really nitpicky about things like props, line weight, and maintaining volume) but the volume of work + the style I’m working with are pushing me to be okay with turning out work without polishing it to death first. »
